English Telephone classes available for Spain(+34), Germany(+49), Belgium(+32), Denmark(+45), Finland(+358), France(+33), Greece(+30), Italy(+39), Iceland(+354), Holland(+31), Portugal(+351), Swedan(+46), Switzerland(+41), Ireland(+353), UK(+44), USA(+1), Canada(+1). Class calls are made to landlines in these countries.
Why Telephone Classes?
Why are Telephone classes so effective? They are convenient for the student. Just pick up the phone. No need to travel to a school or time wasted to start meetings. Telephone classes are short (25 minutes), more efficient and sometimes intensive depending on the level of the student or the stage of his/her learning.These classes are cheap costing just €7.50 per class. This gives the possibility of the student having classes more often and sometimes making a dramatic improvement on his English. Having shorter classes more often is a better way to make progress.
Telephone based English speaking is very good experience for the student, particularly for students in the business world as the need to speak English often arises during conferance calls or over the phone. Sometimes shyness can be a factor holding back the student and Telephone classes tend to allow the student to relax and concentrate more in class. Telephone classes allow the student to quickly accumulate hours of speaking English and brings confidence quickly.
English Telephone Classes - How it works
What you need to book a class:
A normal telephone landline based in Spain. You may divert this line to your mobile phone if you prefer.
A PayPal account for payment of classes. You can get a PayPal account in just a few minutes at www.paypal.com if you do not already have one. For block booking of classes with more advanced notice you can pay me by bank transfer. Please contact me by email for details. I also accept bookings from companies.
To book a class:
Please refer to the timetable for free class periods on the TelClass homepage (www.telclass.biz) . This is updated frequently to show free times.To get one or more classes booked please send an email to me at info@telclass.biz Please state time and day when you want to have classes and include your telephone number that you wish to be called for class. PLEASE NOTE - class calls are made to landlines only(in Spain). Of course you may divert you landline to you mobile if you wish. I will then send you a Paypal invoice for the class(es). Once payment is confirmed by Paypal the class is booked. I will then call you for the class at classtime at the number provided.
Payments and
cancellations
Payments for classes are normally made through PayPal. If you do not
have a PayPal account already you can easily get one on the PayPal
website - www.paypal.com
PayPal allows you to send and receive money securly over the internet.
To book many classes (for example 2 classes per week for 2 months,
Mondays at 13:30) you may pay by bank transfer if you prefer. In this
case please let me know.
Payments should be made for class ideally the day before class for
coordination and in order to secure the timeslot. Receipt of payment any
time up to midnight before the date of the class is accepted.
Similarly cancellation for classes should also be made by the end of the
previous day. To cancel a class you have already paid for please send an
email to me not later than midnight of the day before the class -

receiving this I will give you a refund through PayPal. In the event
that you wish to simply reschedule the class to a different time please
let me know your proposal and I will try to accommodate you as best I
can. But keep in mind that I cannot always provide a reschedule.
In the rare event that I cannot attend the class to teach for whatever
reason, I will refund €8 per class to your PayPal account. In the last
two years I missed not more than 4 classes in all. Still, mistakes can
be made or unforeseen things can happen.
About the classes
SPEAK YOUR WAY TO FLUENCY!
During English Telephone class - speak as much as possible. This is the
most effective way to improve regardless of your level. I will
continually interrupt you with corrections to pronunciation and grammar.
Later in the feedback form you will get a souvenir of the class showing
corrections and other comments. You can view a
typical feedback form here.
The classes at times resemble a phone-in conversation on radio with the
student talking for most of the time. I will prompt you with questions
on the topic when needed. Classes may often have a central topic or the
activity may be split with a reading check or other material. For a list
of topics used in previous classes see the page on
previous classes. This is useful to give structure to the classes
but equally the student can change the given class topic or is welcome
to suggest his own preferred material. Work presentations and
preparations are welcome and in the past have been very successful.
In addition many students ask for an emphasis on Business English. This
is very common and there is a comprehensive set of topics with new
vocabulary included for this.
Advice to students
Normally I will call you for class to the land line phone number you
have provided. If I cannot reach you I will sent an email immediately to
remind you that it is time for class. Classes are 25 minutes long.
Usually we need to finish punctually in order for me to prepare for the
next class.
So, for example if you book a class for 12:30, the class starts at 12:30
and finishes at 12:55.
If it is not your first class you will have received by email the
feedback form for your previous class. In this case there may be website
links or other information on the form about the following class. With
regards to preparation, classes are designed to be dynamic - some
students do homework or preparation but many do not get time due to
being too busy at work etc. If this is the case then don´t worry. Just
feel free to answer the telephone and have class!

Please avoid calling me by telephone between the hours of 8:00 am and
6:00 pm. Generally this is class time and I very often cannot take
calls.
